Dolly Meymand founded the Art For Kids School (AFKS) in 1980—a multi-media art program created to bring after-school and summer enrichment to public and private schools, and parks and recreation facilities.

More than 35,000 children in Washington State have been taught by Dolly. Over the last five years she’s trained 25 art instructors to expand the program statewide and has mentored four instructors to initiate the AFKS program throughout the western United States. Now living in Colorado, Dolly continues to direct the AFKS program in Olympia, WA, where her teachers instruct students daily after school.
